Each tripod has been designed especially to withstand a specified
maximum weight of equipment, which is assessed as being placed above the
center of gravity of a fully extended tripod. The diameter of the top
tripod leg section is the key to this and determines the Series range,
weight loadings and application. To choose the correct head, you simply
match the second reference number of the head to the second reference
number of the tripod. |

 Standard style tripods, have one fixed position leg spread of 24° which ensures the center column is always vertical at a given leg extension and are rock steady. |

 Performance style tripods, are fitted with sliding stops, which enable the legs to be individually set at different angles, providing more flexibility including very low angle shots. There are two set angles on the Series 0, 1, 2 and 3 Studex of 24° and 55°, and three set angles of 24°, 55° and 80° on the Inter Pro Studex Series 3, plus 4 and 5 series. |
