Ratings System
Because many of our customers are users who are concerned with performance and because many other customers are collectors and are looking for pieces that look good but don't necessarily need to operate, we have split our ratings into two categories. All of our inventoried items will have both categories (Cosmetics and Mechanical).

What this basically means is that an item may be in Mint cosmetic condition but be rated as Parts (P) for mechanical function. Likewise, an item may be listed as being in Perfect Working Order (PWO) but have a "Ugly" cosmetic rating.

Cosmetics

(New, Mint, Excellent Plus, Excellent Minus, Good, Fair, and Ugly.)

	NEW-Never been sold to a customer and never been used. New as shipped by the distributor with all original packaging and instruction manuals. Merchandise sold as "NEW" are eligible for full warranty service from officially authorized importer/distributor in the U.S.A.
	MINT-100% original finish. Looks just like factory new, but may not include original packing material or instruction books.
	EXCELLENT PLUS-90-99% original finish. Shows very little use. No major marring of finish or brassing.
	EXCELLENT-80-89% original finish. May have a finish flaw or two which detract from appearance.
	EXCELLENT MINUS-70-79% original finish. May be lightly scratched or scuffed but no major flaws.
	GOOD-60-69% original finish. Complete but may have large flaws in finish which do not affect function.. Metal may show wear but should have no corrosion, rust or pits.
	FAIR-50-59% original finish. Complete but shows obvious wear and tear. May have slight corrosion and rust.
	UGLY-50% or less of original finish. Obviously missing parts or shows some type of major cosmetic damage.

Mechanics

(PWO--W/NT--NW/NT--P--MCU)

	(PWO)-Proper Working Order -The item is guaranteed by The Camera Trader to be functional, accurate and working properly for 30 days after item is received.
	(W/NT)-Working but not tested-The item is looks complete and seems to be fully operational but hasn't been tested for accuracy or complete function. Lenses are selecting aperture and focus but haven't been tested for infinity focus. Shutters are firing. Film advance seems to be operating. Nothing has been tested. These items are sold "as is" with no guarantee.
	(NW/NT)-Not Working/Not Tested-The item looks complete but isn't operating. Nothing tested. These items are sold "as is" with no guarantee.
	(P)- Parts-The item doesn't power up and/or may be missing some parts. Lenses have stiff or non-selectable focus or apertures. These items are also sold "as is" with no guarantee.
	(MCU)- Mechanical Condition Unknown-Externally, the item looks fine. It may be perfect in function or not functioning at all. We are missing necessary items to test it. (i.e.: requires special batteries, cables, lenses, film etc. to operate and we do not have them at this time.) These items are sold "as is" with no guarantee.
	(CLO)- CLOSE OUT-Priced to move and is sold as is, no questions asked. Some items are complete and others are missing parts. We haven't tested or inspected anything. These items are also sold "as is" with no guarantee.
